Starry
Night,
A
Dream
that
Came
True
Starry
Night
–
what
a
beautiful
and
enchanting
name.
It
instantly
reminds
me
of
the
painting
by
Vincent
Van
Gogh
that
bears
the
same
name.
But
today,
I’m
not
here
to
talk
about
the
painting.
Instead,
I
want
to
tell
you
a
story
about
how
‘Starry
Night’
became
the
most
significant
thing
in
my
life.
Growing
up,
I
always
had
a
fascination
with
stars.
Every
night,
I
would
lay
on
the
roof
of
my
house
and
stare
at
the
twinkling
stars
in
the
sky.
My
parents
always
encouraged
my
passion
for
astronomy.
They
bought
me
books,
took
me
to
the
planetarium,
and
even
gifted
me
a
telescope.
As
I
grew
older,
my
fascination
never
dimmed.
In
fact,
it
only
got
stronger.
I
started
studying
astrophysics
and
dedicating
a
considerable
chunk
of
my
life
to
it.
However,
with
time,
the
pressure
of
society
and
expectation
to
pursue
a
‘serious’
career
grew,
and
I
was
forced
to
put
my
passion
on
the
back
burner.
But
‘Starry
Night’
changed
everything.
One
summer
night,
I
was
at
my
lowest;
I
had
just
lost
my
job

was
feeling
directionless.
That’s
when
I
stumbled
upon
a
group
of
amateur
astronomers
who
gathered
every
week
to
explore
the
stars.
It
was
there
that
I
met
a
woman
who
would
change
my
life.
Her
name
was
Emma,
and
she
had
the
most
gorgeous
smile
I’d
ever
seen.
She
welcomed
me
to
the
group
with
open
arms
and
introduced
me
to
her
friends.
From
that
day
onwards,
every
week,
we
would
gather,
explore
the
stars,
and
wrap
up
the
night
with
some
warm
coffee
and
conversations.
The
more
I
spent
time
with
Emma
and
the
group,
the
more
I
realized
that
I
had
finally
found
my
calling.
I
started
volunteering
at
the
planetarium
and
eventually
landed
a
job
as
an
astrophysicist.
‘Starry
Night’
had
led
me
to
my
dream,
and
I
was
grateful.
Now,
whenever
I
look
up
at
the
stars,
I
think
of
that
one
summer
night
that
changed
my
life.
‘Starry
Night’
is
not
just
a
name
to
me;
it’s
a
reminder
that
even
amidst
darkness,
there’s
always
light
waiting
to
shine
upon
us.
